Color Mapping

Any of the three cell labels and the cell background can be independently mapped  to any of various continua. The range of each continuum in use is shown at the right of the periodic table beside a spectrum with red as the highest number and  blue as the lowest.

The sample cells at right show the defaults of the top label mapped to boiling point, the middle label mapped to electronegativity, and the bottom label mapped to melting point. The white shown for Neon means the information is unknown. Color spectra will show best if your monitor is set for 24-bit color. b-ne_color.gif (3053 bytes)

Changing mapped properties

To change the property by which a label is mapped, right-click that label on any periodic table cell. From the menu that appears, select Color, then By property, then the property you want to use.

To change the property by which the background of the period table is mapped, right-click the label on any periodic table cell. From the menu that appears, select Background Color, then By property, then the property you want to use.
